I’d like to know something – I’m very curious – and that is, who are you taking advice from about the network marketing profession?
One of the things that I’ve noticed in my days as a network marketing professional with my wife is that we’ll be talking to someone and they’ll be very excited about the concept, about the Compensation Plans, about the profession in general. And we’ll follow up with them within a day or two, and we don’t hear from them again. And we’ll wonder, why?
We’ll bring them to an actual educational presentation, and they’re very excited…they see it, they get it – and then, again, they go in hiding, MIA. So when we do finally follow up with them, they’ll say, “well, I’m just not interested anymore.” And we’ll say, “Okay, can you just tell me why?” And they’ll say, “Well, you know, I talked to my uncle, and he tried one of these things and it didn’t work for him.”
Okay, well is your uncle rich? No. Does he have a good job? No. What kind of car does he drive? Oh, he has a Honda Civic. Ok, well, are you really going to take advice from somebody who doesn’t have any income or influence, but just says “It’s one of ‘Those Things’,” Or “It’s a scam,” or “It’s a pyramid”?
We get them all. But the bottom line that I need to enforce in you, is that you need to do what’s in your heart. If you feel as though this is something you want to pursue, nothing should stop you! And nobody should stop you – especially people that don’t have success and influence in the real world or from network marketing. You should simply get more education. Don’t just say no.
This, again, is a very prestigious profession, and it’s something that can yield you a tremendous amount of money for you and your family, for years and years to come. So be careful who you listen to – because a lot of people out there generally are three paychecks from broke! Listen to somebody of influence, somebody who knows what they are talking about, listen to the person who invited you to learn. I know there are a lot of things out there that are not really legitimate, but there are a lot of Network Marketing companies that are and that have a wonderful compensation plan.
